United Nations (UN) The United Nations (UN) is an IGO. It has a Global Program against Trafficking in Human Beings (GPAT) that was designed by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in collaboration with the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI). It assists member states in their efforts to combat trafficking in human beings. It highlights the involvement of organized criminal groups in human trafficking and promotes the development of effective ways catching perpetrators.

United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) UNICEF was mandated by the UN General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children's rights. This NGO attempts to establish children's rights as stable ethical principles and international standards of behavior towards children. UNICEF declares that it is imperative that the survival, protection and development of children are preserved. It responds in emergencies to protect the rights of children and ensures that its facilities for rapid response are available to its partners who provide care. UNICEF aims to promote the equal rights of women and girls and to support their participation in political, social, and economic developments in their communities.
The Protection Project The Protection Project is a 501(c3) not-for-profit human rights research and training institute based at The Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C.The goals of The Protection Project are to promote the values of human rights; protect human security, and enhance women and children’s rights; foster civil society and NGO development; strengthen the rule of law by promoting citizen participation in the political process; advance human rights education; encourage state observance of internationally recognized human rights; and to ultimately eliminating trafficking in persons.
